2019 Honda Insight Aces Another Safety Test With 5-Star NHTSA Rating

By Justin Cupler | October 13th, 2018

The 2019 Honda Insight already mastered the IIHS safety test with a Top Safety Pick+ rating*, and now the U.S. government has completed its safety testing. The results? The Insight aced these crash tests too.

The 2019 Honda Insight, which went on sale in Rochester, New York June 29, 2018, just completed the U.S. government’s crash tests, and its performance was just as we expected. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration tests most vehicles in frontal-crash, side-crash, and rollover safety — the 2019 Honda Insight received five-star ratings, the highest score, in all three tests**. This crash-test mastery earned the 2019 Insight a five-star overall rating, putting it among the safest hybrids on the market.

The 2019 Insight comes standard with Honda Sensing, which includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, road-departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control to help keep drivers safe. Optional Honda LaneWatch further enhances safety by showing the driver a glimpse of the blind spot on the infotainment screen when he or she activates the turn signal or presses the LaneWatch button.

The 2019 Honda Insight is on sale now here at Garber Honda. Prices start at $22,830*** . Stop by our new-car dealership serving Rochester, Fairport, and Pittsford, New York for a test drive.
